Stringer Family Farming

With Seed to Sip being the motto, the seed needs to come from somewhere. This is where our farmers Craig and Nick enter the picture. The Stringer family own and operate a farm in Mundoora SA, 15 minutes outside of Port Broughton and they grow Rye and Barley which we use in the production of a majority of the spirits created at Sumpoynt Distillery.

Something unique about the Stringer farm is they have a variety of soil types which will have an impact on grain characteristics (terroir) and in turn the attributes of the finished product. You can read more about this on our Products & Processes page
